OUR STORY

My daughter was born about one month before COVID-19 made its way to Pennsylvania. When I went "back to work," I was working from home, and it was incredible to be able to be with my daughter all day every day. It was also a LOT of work to balance all my new responsibilities.

One thing quickly became clear to me as I watched the world around me change so quickly: I didn't want to spend my time doing anything that doesn't make the world a better place for future generations. So, in the bits of time I saved by not having to commute to the office, I kept thinking about how I could make the changes I knew I needed in my life. Eventually, the idea of a sustainable design firm emerged, and Zero Commute Architecture was formed.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to help make our world a better place through sustainable and resilient design. We believe that building systems that work together, and integrating our built environment with the nature and communities around us is the best chance we have to preserve our world for future generations.

Though the lens of Zero Commute Architecture is focused on social and environmental sustainability and resilience in architecture, that doesn't mean that's the only thing we do! Regardless of your project, we can walk you through the design process as a full service architectural firm. Just be prepared for a few lessons in sustainability along the way. Together, we can realize your vision and uncover new synergies in the process.
